It's interesting that I have known people in AA whose lives were just as screwed up as yours, only their lives are screwed up in their favor so they'll never think about leaving. I can't tell you how many wrecked relationships and unwanted pregnancies I witnessed in my five and a half years on the high road to a new freedom. And thanks for the comliments. And yeah I got LOTS of stories of the "AA bedroom hoping game". You are first taught these are the people who arent working the steps and folks bring up the "principles before personalities" and "they have to deal with their insides when they act that way." And if those warnings from the AA faithful were true about those bad acting AA people, perhaps I would not be writing this blog. But I have lost count of how many reveered AA's have actually been these 'bad AA's'. Well, any way I am happy you are here sixyears. Harry PS: I read your story.
