Hello Roundup people - please (really PLEASE) read this
So you have seen one of the aa-a-go-go tee shirts? Maybe talked to me or one of my friends about the blog. I dont expect most people in the southbay aa area to find my blog something they like. BUT BEFORE you decide to either post comments on this blog or perhaps even to me in person this weekend, can you PLEASE finish reading this article here??
I have heard from online people that I needed to pray, or pray more, or get with God. I have heard I needed humility and not be so arogant. I’ve been told to work the steps, go to more meetings, and of course just be more grateful. And of course that’s from the nice people who were worried about my well-being. There were also those people who wished me dead, and wished to go back out drinking and using. Called me asshole, pitty pot, ungrateful, and well you get the picture.
I can tell you that 99 percent of those people spent the smallest amount of time reading my blog. They read the home page, maybe read one article, or the “read me first article”. And then launched into their heated email or comment posting.
I of course understand the anger from the 12 step people. But, assuming you REALLY want to know WHY I would have this blog at all, then I need you to read ALL THE ARTICLES.
I explain and describe many things including my experiences with DOING the steps, PRAYING, etc.
Of course if all you want to do is tell me how bad I am and dont want to read anything here, well I cant prevent that can I?
But there are very real reasons why I have this blog and why I think how I think. And if you are interested in knowing what’s what with harry and his blog, I am afraid there is some reading for you to do.
